I doubt anyone who reads this could ever point out one thing we as a people do better than embrace and relish in our own stupidity. Here in the US of A we love our daytime TV and abhor the thought of attempting to read a wriiten text. I'd go so far to say that stupidity is the preeminent American value if I did not believe it was just slightly eclipsed by laziness and apathy. I see my fellow Americans day in and out as they converse about the pressing issues of the day: Ally McBeal's season premiere, the score in the Rams game, JLo. and Puffy's break-up, and the other things that pass for discourse these days. What the hell is this folks? When did we become such blathering morons? And when we did, why didn't someone give us a swift kick in the ass, tak away our TV privlidges, and make us go to our rooms and read a book? We as a people need to pull our heads from our collective asses and start thinking about and talking about issues of at least minimal importance. I mean really, how many of you can tell me about the importance of the fourth amendment? Does anyone even know what it does? Or do you know why our government is spending billions of dollars each year on Plan Columbia? Hell, have you even ever heard about Plan Columbia? That's the point folks. We are so wrapped up in the bullshit that passes for news or relevant information these days that we pay absolutely no attention to the real news or the slow erosion of our rights as guaranteed by the constitution. Anyway folks... thanks for listening....
