More inane government at work limiting the freedom of adults... California State Assemblyman Paul Koretz has introduced a bill that would raise the legal age at which an individual can purchase cigarettes in the state to 21. I cannot fathom how this moron thinks that it is okay to limit an individual's freedom simply because he thinks he knows what is best for him....
How can you advocate allowing an 18 year old to vote, to go to war, to drive, to pay taxes, to marry, to buy a house, or to enter into any other legal contract.... yet you cannot trust them with making an intelligent choice regarding cigarettes? Are you a fucking idiot? You must be. Because frankly, there is no good reason why you could advocate such stupid nanny-state legislation armed at curbing behaviour you find objectionable.
Mr. Koretz, please remove your head from your ass and work on legislation of real benefit to Californians. Treating adults as children has no place in government and your willingness to do so speaks volumes about your intelligence and ability to grasp the fundamental concepts on which this country was founded....
